I spent 8 pages in my own thread asking everyone what they thought I should buy. Instead maybe I should have had people "bring bikes to me" as you are doing.

I just saw a couple of buell's on the advrider flea market section for sale, but don't know how far away they are.  I have a very clean one owner never dropped 2007 zz14 blue in turbotville pa. I've done over 600 miles in a day  but not sure if it falls into your touring plans. I have offered it to friends at $5000 only because it has miles on it. 34000. Service and valve check done at 30000 miles.

I toured the entire country aboard a zx14 over the summer. Ten thousand miles, 13 weeks and thirty four states. It only took being home two days for a deer to take me out and destroy the 14.   Great bike, but I'm swearing off inline 4's (unless I find a k1200rs).

I've got a 2000 VFR800 in ultrafast yellow, with Ohlins rear shock, semi-custom saddlebag mounts (far stronger than the Givi OEM stuff), new Sargent World Performance seat with yellow piping, Zero Gravity tinted windshield, 1" peg lowering blocks (easily removed) and a pair of Givi E360 Monokey hard cases. D&D carbon fiber exhaust, Barnett clutch kit and regulator/rectifier failure fears taken care of by the addition of the VFRness. I also have two spare original seats and the passenger seat cowling.

This is the 5th gen, with the gear-driven cams that make that amazing sound. Bike has around 33+ thousand miles on it. My only reason for selling is that I'm 6'2" and my girlfriend's 6'1". I want a bike we can both have adventures on comfortably. Looking to get $4k for it. I'm located in Durham, NC. Happy to host you for a night and buy you dinner if you'd like to do a fly and ride.
