If'n you want comfort, I suggest the CB500X.
Honda says the 500's will be available in April 2013.

No.

You need an adjustable windshield, shaft drive, hard bags, heated grips, cockpit adjustable suspension, and a GPS/IPhone attachment to ride more than 120 miles.

Of the riviews I have read they keep comparing it to the old 700 VFR's  Smile
Which i had and loved!
And for $5k? How can you go wrong? That's all of $100 a month!

It's true.  One time I left my shaft drive off my bike and I never even made it out of the driveway!

I can't think of a single bike that I can't ride for 200+ miles at a time. I could probably cross the country on that little CBR. Just sayin'.

Other than a little crunched in the legs, the CBR500 looks to have a pretty reasonable riding position.

I'm sorry but $5k for 500cc parallel twin? That's amazing!
Yeah ok it's nice to own a big 1100cc bike but well....well i can't afford another liter bike now and well you know that Honda will be very reliable for years and years to come!
Does it have proper brakes? Or is it single sided?
I have ridden a few bikes with a single sided disc and i know it's going to sound silly but in spirited riding I just found them to be lacking in both feel and in fade.

And I'm sorry I had assumed it was out already but well when it does i will have to take it for a spin.
$5k is only $100 per month! :-)

Single sided brakes; but please explain to me how that's not "proper". It's a budget bike, and it's crazy stupid light. I'm sure it stops just fine.

this is my hammer. my dad gave it to me. he got it from his dad who got it from his before him. it's been in the family for generations. we've had to replace the handle a few times and the head twice but it priceless because of its family history.

Umm, check your pricing, Shah.  It's on their website at $5999.   Still good pricing, but by the time you add anything plus the taxes and licensing, it's nearer $7000.

Worst thing about owning a Honda is telling your parents your gay.  Yup it will run for ever, but you can never drink black coffee again or eat bacon.  On the plus side you will get to deal with all those fantastic Honda dealers.

I think it could be a fun bike as long as my friends didn't see me riding it.

Well the last bike that had a single disc was also from the early 80's...one of the old Ducati's? As I recall? It was years ago.
And I'm sure things have gotten better over the years.
Looks like a great bike, in white she does remind me of an older VFR?
And it's Fi!  Smile

This may be a great bike! Shame it doesn't have a center stand? But such is life. Let me see how my finances are and maybe I'll just have to pick one up?
New bike for used bike money?

I can't suggest new over used... that's a call for the buyer to make. But I can tell you that Honda has put out some great things of late, and it's clear they're listening to the market place.
