Do you mind me asking how much it cost? I was in a BMW store today (dropping some money on new leathers
) and saw a 2005 in great shape. It had 3 bags (side panniers and top case) and a handful of options. This one had about 35k miles on it, and they were asking $9,999

I'd like to think that your recent ride on Gretel influenced you.
Congratulations Ken!

63k miles, lots of upgrades (ohlins, Rick Meyers seat, tons of lights, all three bags, etc). I paid $6k from an ADV member (Lawn Dart found it for me)

The new ride didn't happen to ship from Virginia, did it?
If so, I know the prior owner and the bike, and know that you got a heck of a deal.

Congrats, ksann.
Kids falling asleep on the back are a nightmare for me. It's hard to hold onto a slouching body and the controls at once! Good luck.

Congrats on the new ride. I like it!

Luckily it has a top speed less than your old BMW.....
Congrats Ken! I'm extremely happy for you and look forward to tearing up the pavement sometime.

...a Japanese manufacturer might take the motor, castrate it to about 110 hp and stick it in a cheaper, heavier chassis with low-spec suspension and brakes and slice an ‘R’ or two off the name. That’s not how Aprilia roll
