Could we do the Annual Droppin' of the Carp.  Words can scarcely describe the world view capable of producing such folly, but one may be in the ballpark with "snarky river rat".  It is kin to the world view of many of us here at STN, and it may be a cool way to ring in the New Year in an alternate universe sort of way:
