Plan:

May 17th - The Atlanta crew will meet up in Cartersville, GA and will be on the road heading north no later then 9am. We will meet up with the Pseudomoto Nashville crew somewhere east of Chattanooga on I-75 and continue to Waynesboro, VA. We can also meet others along the way. Or you can meet us that evening in Waynesboro, VA.

May 18th - We will head south on the Blue Ridge Parkway to around the VA/NC state line and camp for the night at Doughton Park campground. It will be about a 225 mile ride.

May 19th - Continue south to the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway at The Great Smokey Mountains National Park and camp the night. It will be about a 250 mile ride.

May 20th - Tour the nationial park, ride around Cade's Cove, and stop in the Wheels Through Time Museum (time permitting).

Someone sent me a link to this website & asked if I'd like to ride along?  I can't do the 17th-20th but I could possibly do the 17th-19th.   Cool

I've always wanted to ride the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway & it can easily be done in 2 days.  If I go I could ride up on the 17th, then ride the first day & then head home on the second.  I've been to the Wheels Through Time Museum & was tortured through Cades Cove so I wouldn't want to go there again. Smile

Is anyone here considering this ride?  I know its a good way off.

True that.  I've never been to Cades Cove & the only reason we went was to ride Parson Branch Rd.  We rode for 8 miles w/o ever getting fast enough to let the clutch lever fully out.  It was horrible.  Riding in that crap made Parson Branch Rd seem like interstate speeds.

I have no desire to ever enter that place again.   Crazy

All depends what time you ride thru there..... I've managed to go thru at times seeing only 1/2 dozen vehicles for the whole length....
