Looking for recommedations for heated grips for a 2000 Duc ST2.  Twisted Throttle is right down the street from me, and they sell the Oxford units.  Any feedback on these, or an alternative suggestion?

The only thing I don't like about the Oxfords is the large diameter.  If they were slimmer they'd be my first choice.

I've used the Oxfords on two bikes now - they are dead easy to install, have four levels of heat, nice soft rubber and grip.

They are, just as Miles has pointed out, a bit thicker than normal grips.  Not uncomfortably so but definitely take some getting used to.  Pick your poison, these things are absolutely plug and play.

I plan to install a set on the Ducati.  They are that good.

The controller on the Oxfords has died twice. Twisted replaced it the first time under warranty and is offering me the controller at the cost of $40.00. They work fantastic but I have read others have had the same issue.

YMMV

Pretty much any make works okay. I don't like the Oxford wrap around ones as they are far too thick-but dead easy to install.

Get heated gloves. Much better.

You can also use the Kimpex under-grip wraps, available through Aerostich and several other outlets.  They're harder to install, but I have used them successfully on 3 bikes.

I would always pair any heated grips with a Heat-Troller.

Buy the Oxfords, Kympex, whatever grips you want.  Throw the supplied controller away.  Wire in a Heat-Troller.  Much better.

It's pretty easy.  The Heat-Troller adds a level of mounting flexibility that can allow you to put the temp controller knob in any number of ideal places.

Unless it's plug and play I'm fairly slow on the uptake.

IMO, just go with the factory option until it fails.   I ran one for three years without incident (sold the bike) so they aren't all failed units.

We have several sets scattered about among our bikes.  If you can get the wrap tucked all the way out to the end of the bar & make room for your thumb to be OFF the wrap, they are a lot more comfortable and very warm.

Get heated gloves. Much better.

Some conditions require both!
