In 1978, the year of his successful comeback on the Ducati 900SS. He was killed with his daughter in a car accident just a few years later at the age of 40 when a truck driver made an illegal turn across the road.

Sweet comeback victory.
I wish I had that circuit in my back yard. I think it would fit.
They started passing backmarkers at lap 10 of 20, but everybody's bent out of shape when a CRT machine gets lapped at the very end of a race today.
