New law effective 1/1/13. Don't wheelie while at speed...
Plus, you can get higher ape hangers!
Quote
No wheelies: Lead-footed motorcyclists found guilty of doing wheelies will have to pay up: Senate Bill 3452 will impose a $1,000 fine for driving a motorcycle on one wheel while speeding. The law also dictates that handlebars can be no higher than the driver’s head (current law sets the bar at the driver’s shoulders).

driving a motorcycle on one wheel while speeding.
"
Does that mean you can do a wheelie if you are obeying the speed limit ??
But why even yet another new law. Why isn't doing wheelies simply a careless or reckless driving ticket ?

because if you do it 'lead footed' over the speed limit, it is a MINIMUM $1,000 fine. With reckless driving and what not, the city attorney/prosecutor has discretion to meet out whatever sentence they see fit.
And some dude on congress wanted ape hangers taller than his shoulders.

I'm glad the ape-hanger constituency was accurately represented. Shows the government cares.

I think it's a pretty sneaky ploy. Make those choppers handle even worse and you help clean up the gene pool.

I don't get it....wouldn't having a lead-foot on a motorcycle slow you down and make it really hard to wheelie if your 'lead-foot' is mashing down the rear brake?
Sorry....had to do it

That's a two-for-one whammy if those that take themselve out are in Government.
