..."Swillin' and shootin..."

Sunday 1 / 20 / 13...10:00 AM until ???

McMillar's in Eagle WI
http://www.mcmillershootingcenter.com/

Bring whatcha got....shoot whatcha brung!

For those who don't "know' McMillars...it's a shooting range / club with large bore / small bore / plinking / sporting clays / trap and 3D Archery ranges.  A great place to spend several hours punching holes in paper and blasting skeets to smithereens!

Can't vouch for coffee, though...although it's not too far from Palmyra, Whitewater, Eagle, etc...

Post up if you're interested...

this has potential if its not to cold. 1/20/13 in WI could be very very cold.

Good point.  So we'll make allowances for a "gametime decision" dependant on overall temps.  If it's above 20 degrees F and not windy then it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

We could wait until August...but most would choose to ride instead of shooting, methinks...

Have been to McMiller's a few times over the summer. That's one fun place to spend an afternoon. One problem I foresee is finding suitable quantity of ammo for the outing.  Lol  Most big box ammo retailers around here such as WalMart, BassPro, and Gander Mountain, barely have anything in stock. If there's stock, it's usually the more expensive rounds. Your best bet is ordering online, if you can find inventory.  Crazy

Forgot to mention that they also have a plinking range for 22LR's only. Don't forget to bring your favorite 22LR. You can easily end up spending a couple of hours in this area of the range.

I'll probably spend most of my time either shooting trap / sporting clays or making copious billowing clouds of doom with my muzzleloader.  Might chase down a box or two of .45 ACP for the Kimber, as well...but I can just as easily shoot that indoors and work on my form / technique.

So feel free to bring any / all boomsticks you choose....there will be plenty of options.

Here's a registry of those planning to attend:
1.  Cheddarhead  (Wingmaster 870 Pump / Hawken .54 caliber)

Cabela's is restocked with 9s, 40s, 45s.

I will bring handguns. 9s, 45s, 22s. maybe a 22 rifle and the 22 shilouette pistol if Matt is coming. The Plinking Range is a lot of fun.

Just keep it unloaded, locked, and stored in the trunk and you'll be fine. Don't know if the MI folks have a FOID-like ID similar to IL owners. I believe non-WI folks do not need a firearms ID to shoot at the range.
