Any of you guys had experience with installing the "pin lock anti fog shield insert" in an Arai signet-q shield. It is a simple process, of course, until the cheap little pin breaks off.  Any ideas on how I can fix it? Have installed on cheap helmets with no problem then attempt on a $600 helmet and $65 shield and the pin breaks EEK!, go figure! Crazy

Not quite sure how to fix it but to help prevent you from doing it again I have a question.  I recall reading something on mine about how the pin has a cam action to it and you have to spin it to make it retract and then spin it back to hold the shield in.  Did you spin it to the 'open' position before inserting the second shield?

Thanks for  the reply, and yes, the issue occurred when I was in the process of doing that. I had a pin that came with a pinlock for another helmet, and used it, and set the Arai one in the closed position and inserted that end first, install went fine. I think the KISS method may should have been initially used by Arai. But in any case got it installed and worked perfectly, rode for hours in a cold rain and NO fog, as i have experiences with the pinlock in  other helmets. Smile
