Found this on Netflix streaming, and definitely worth a watch. (Hope this is the right place for this.)

Basically this guy Ben Tyler (Josh Jackson from TV show Fringe) is diagnosed with cancer with a grim prognosis and on the way home from the doctor runs into an old guy selling a Norton Commando. He buys the bike and takes of cross Canada to the pacific coast. Good story and a good motorcycle movie and a good movie showcasing some beautiful Canadian scenery. Worth a look.  Smile

Own the DVD, watched it numerous times.  A great flick. For those who haven't seen it, watch for the various road signs later in the movie, they have meaning.  Also, some really gorgeous photography, and good music.  The DVD has those "extra features" that contains a lot of great still photographs from locations in the movie.

Own it, watched it several times, Great movie Thumbsup

Kind of strange but I loaned it to my father-inlaw (a big movie lover) a few months before he died. He liked it, not the bike or any of that but for the filming and story.  Now every time I see it on the DVD rack next to the TV I think of him.

It's been a while since I've seen it but I really enjoyed the movie. There seemed to be a certain sort of honesty behind the story. It was beautifully filmed and the Norton didn't hurt.

I think it was a good movie not only for the motorcycle related stuff, but the message makes you think. The entire time I was watching it I kept thinking about Neil Peart and Ghost Rider, gut wrenching read. Gotta enjoy the ride while it lasts, you never know.

Ghost Rider Synopsis:

In less than a year, Neil Peart lost both his 19-year-old daughter, Selena, and his wife, Jackie. Faced with overwhelming sadness and isolated from the world in his home on the lake, Peart was left without direction. This memoir tells of the sense of loss and directionlessness that led him on a 55,000-mile journey by motorcycle across much of North America, down through Mexico to Belize, and back again. He had needed to get away, but had not really needed a destination. His travel adventures chronicle his personal odyssey and include stories of reuniting with friends and family, grieving, thinking, and reminiscing as he rode until he encountered the miracle that allowed him to find peace.

Eh, Cycles South is ok for what it is. I suspect I might have like it better if was as stoned as the cast.
