My rear tire is just about shot, and I'm looking into replacements. Brand is sorted, but I'm inquiring about specific knowledge on how much more tire I can run on the arse-end of my R1100R with a 5" rim. Spec is a 150, and I have 15-20mm clearance between the tire and swingarm currently.

Has anyone got experience putting a 170 on this bike?  Embarassment Search revealed nothing with the keywords that sprung to mind.

Had to remove the rear brake caliper, but there's enough clearance all around once it's in place. Spec was 160, so this isn't a quantum leap and was an affordable upgrade.
