Confuzed yet delighted I am, since by all accounts this bike was disco'd and put out to pasture.
(To me) it makes sense they keep it in the lineup since they're only bringing over the fully gussied up Trophy at such a high price point.
From the UK Site - note the title.......

I bought one last January and love it. Sat on the new Trophy yesterday at a bike show and it was too much like the BMW GTL 1600. Way too big for my liking. I prefer the lighter sport touring package the GT offers. Glad to see they kept it but doesnot look like they are bringing it back to Canada though

I thought the GT "going to pasture" rumors were all bunk. Glad to see it is remaining.
I hope they never drop the Sprints.

Let's hope this all works out. I love my GT, didn't make much sense they were dropping it - especially with BMW updating their F800ST to be a more serious tourer at a similar price point. It would have left a big hole in Triumph's lineup.

My dealer told me this week it was dropped from the lineup this year in the US. Maybe I misunderstood him?

I don't think you did. Every dealer I've spoken with told me a few months ago the Sprint GT wasn't coming back. Which is why I'm confused. Most likely (and unfortunately) it's a web glitch showing the GT as a '13. But I hope not.

Too many leftovers so they just left it up on the website would be my guess.
It's a shame because it's a great motorcycle. I'd own one if it wasn't for the short person biased ergonomics.

Triumph rep at the Motorcycle show in Mpls last week told me they weren't being imported into the U.S.A. Europe only. Not enough demand. Putting all their marketing into the Trophy.

That's why I got rid of my sprint st. It would have cost a lot to get it comfy for a normal height individual like myself.
I'm using Christopher Lees definition of sport.

I'm in mourning over the loss of the Sprint GT, yes I am sure they are just getting rid of old stock. Could not swing a new Sprint when I got my bike last year. Had taken one for a test ride, and have been wanting one ever since. A great combination of a straight forward motorcycle. A sport touring machine that leans more to the sport side of the equation. Not much out there that fills that gap in a off the floor newer bike. Might be sticking with the '01 Bandit and looking to but some hard bags on it this summer.

Perfect time for BMW to launch have launched their new 800GT to fill in the price gap left by the Sprint GT's departure.

They told me the same thing at the Cleveland show....
The Triumph rep did say they think all the people that were going to buy a Sprint have done so, and the market was tapped out.
Wierd how some other brands were showcasing certain models with factory panniers..... Kawasaki had a Ninja 1000 fitted with bags, tail bag & tall shield. They also had a Versys fitted that way. The Ducati Multistrada seemed to have a lot of people drooling on it. All the baggers of the various cruiser lines were getting attention.
