Posted in the Michigan planner a couple weeks ago.  I've got a 175 mile route laid out that takes in some of the more obscure/scenic roads in the area after megadosing on caffeine.  We'll leave out of the coffee shop and end at the Shell station on M-59/US-23.

Hokay, Michiganders!

Any interest in an April 29th (fixed date), 11 AM, coffee gathering at Common Grounds in Fenton, MI on Silver Lake Road, just west of US-23?  The coffee shop is on the north side of Silver Lake at the first light west of 23.

Common Grounds
3202 W Silver Lake Rd
Fenton, Michigan 48430

There are some great riding roads out this way and the coffee is pretty good too.  That's as far out as I can plan my life with my schedule.

I'm out..... Was just informed by my sister that my niece is making her first communion on sunday and that I must attend or be outcast from the family. Hmmm, choices, choices.   Lol  Family first.

Lol No problem.  I got sucked into a similar situation last weekend.  I missed getting back out to Pinckney and Hell with y'all.  We painted our family room and cleaned carpets instead.  Sometimes ya gotta pay back for all the riding time freely given.

Sunday the 29th looks better than Sat, the 28th.
You mention both.
Which day were you thinking of?

still in the air about it.  I may just show up for the coffee, unless you can make your route head anywhere towards lansing.

I don't weld so I ended up buying on online from McMaster for $13 plus shipping. Whats the tolerance on a bit to a part? The conversion from 19mm is .748". Its seams when I do a cheap workaround that I end up paying for it in the long run.

You don't need precision tools to make precision parts.  I hand tool precision parts for different things all the time, but I will say that it certainly does help if you weld.  I don't own a welder, but there's one available in the family that I borrow quite a bit to make various sized precision parts and pieces for gun smithing.  I can make parts with tolerance down to .01" by hand (slow going though).

I've also made tools to fix the radian - to pull the front fork tubes apart you need a funky tool and to tighten the head bearing to spec you need a funky tool.  Fabricating is fun.  Thumbsup

I'd be in if I didn't have my sister's last ice skating show to attend.  I'd pretty much be out of the family if I missed that one.

It won't be the last coffee meetup I call.    I read your other post about how boring Michigan is.  Come over and ride with me a few times.  There's a lot of decent roads out here in western Oakland and Livingston counties.

Anyone who claims this won't claim it after riding my routes on the MDW ride.  I just discovered some AWESOME new roads yesterday that are going to REALLY surprise some people.  So far, I've got about 600 miles of roads put together, but that number will increase over the next 3 weeks when I have time to increase the route distances.
