Did anybody here work on a fire on the near west side on Sunday?

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/363722,CST-NWS-fire30.article

My band's rented rehearsal space was at 2114 W Carroll, we still haven't heard any details yet.  Sad

Not sure what your asking for, but when it goes to a 4-1-1 the whole block is usually devastated. They're definitely gonna worry about more structure collapse, especially as the point of origin went down due to heat. If you can, call management and see if they've heard anything from OFI or CPD B&A. It was a cool fire, of course my camera was at home Crazy

There's still a whole 1/2 block closed down on Devon from a 3-1-1 in january!

Still a few fire trucks there.
Building is gone.  Did you have anything in it?

Luckily, our practice space was on the 4th floor with no elevator, so we tried not to keep stuff there.  I didn't have any equipment there at the time.   Thumbsup

I was just wondering if anybody here was at the scene, and if they mebbe knew how it started.

Thanks for checking, Capirex!  Sounded like you were there, Ed?

 EEK!

Damn, that place is gone!

I'll miss CPE.  Very cool vibe, nice soundproof rooms, great guys running it.  I hope they're insured.

Twas nice and toasty to say the least. We had to go in to relieve some of the offgoing crews and ended up as  R.I.T ambulance which basically stands there and does nothing unless one of ours gets hurt. Even if there's people jumping we're to do nothing unless we're the only one's near and we only triage until other crews relieve us. It's a crappy assignment but somebody has to do it. Once  they upgraded it to a drown and surround we relaxed, got relieved after sitting for 4 hrs and they  realized a NE side ambo was sitting down there Lol. Made record time getting to lawrence and the drive too! Bigok
