"I think the traction control is something that's going to take a little while for us to get used to and to learn about," said DuHamel. "Right now it's sort of like we have to get a few tests in before we have the mapping right. It's a big step for us and not something that we can just add to the bike and start winning races. You'd have to ask the other team that used it before it was legal how long it took them to get it right, because I doubt if it was overnight."

There is some truth to his statement.  It's pretty well known that Yosh Suzuki was using traction control.  Worse yet, they acted all smug and arrogant about it.

The traction control was developed in WSB from the moto/GP systems(where it is legal). So for Yosh it probably was overnight.  Bigsmile

If it was a direct transfer from MotoGP, the Yosh should be behind H*nda, since they have been far more successful in MotoGP than Suzuki.  Maybe H*nda thinks HRC can figure it all out themselves in the AMA, and Suzuki share technology with Yosh.  None of it makes sense to me.

Yosh's Superbikes are pretty close to WSB's and they even test together the big difference is AMA can run any tire that's why Maladin was faster then Corser at Last years testing. Suzuki was running TC on their AMA bikes for Maladin and Spies even though it was illegal at the time you could hear it as they  were coming out of the corners at Daytona and Barber. Yates wasn't using it until it was made legal. Honda's didn't have it because they don't interface with the WSB teams at all. The Ducatis had it but said they turned it off during Qualifying and Races I couldn't hear it if they were using it.
