It snowed here all day long (expected for tomorrow too), so this was just perfect soup weather. The bread is a nice addition to it as well. It's incredibly easy to make, and highly recommended.
3 cups self rising flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 beer - room temp.
Mix all together. Let rise in bowl 15 - 30 minutes
Bake in a bread pan at 350 for 45 - 60 minutes and brush with butter.
Good luck with your code.

I grilled sockeye salmon fillet, with a cilantro-olive oil-garlic marinade. Salad. Homemade whole wheat bread with sunflower seeds. Bourekas. Apple cider. Chocolate truffles for dessert.
Yum!

Chicken cacciattore and pasta on the side. Salad too. Chicken is marinating in lemon and olive oil after being "pounded". Yes, I have some pent up aggression. This chicken oughta be tender.

So pleased this thread has re-emerged. Just bought a new Indian cookery book and will be trying out Indian Nouvelle Cuisine on Saturday. Yum.
(Before that, the best Indian cookery book was-and is-50 Best Curries, by Punjabi. Get it).

A salad made of spring mix lettuce, baby spinach, rigatonni noodles, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil, real lemon and real lime, garlic oil, with a nice juicy 6 oz steak grilled medium rare. The plate ringed by jumbo shrimp and mushrooms sauted in garlic butter. Seve with your favourite wine.
For dessert, personal sized angel food cake served with frozen yogurt and M&M's frozen cream puffs in the middle of the cake. Berries in a small bowl with a little bit of water and covered and nuked until the water is syrupy (doesnt take long), drizzle the fruit and syrup over the cake and the frozen yogurt. Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles over the top and serve with ice wine.
This is how I eat on a regular basis
Food and drink are a celebration of life
I get many of my ideas from the Food Network tv show, Everyday Italian. If you LOVE food, check out that program, the foods shown are so easy to prepare and amazingly delicious.

And yes that's the way it was packaged.

I made a really simple beef vegatable soup tonight:
Made the stock with organic 'Better Than Bouillon' beef stock mix, threw in tons of green beans, white corn, perl onions, garlic, and a couple of big tomatos. Seasoned with a bay leaf, a little rosemary, thyme, lemon pepper and beaumonde.
Soup and buttery toast. Yum.

Sounds good. Beer bread would have gone wonderfully with that.

Spicy goulash, with pepperoncini's on the side. Baking a loaf of Rosemary/Herb french bread with fresh butter, too.
Then leftovers for several days.

I kept it simple tonight. Beef tacos, and nachos "con pollo"
The nachos were the Tostitos Lime ...soooooooooooooooooooo good for PMS when they are loaded with lots of green /red peppers, melted cheese and chicken.....
Damn, I'm hungry now....

I use the vegetable stuff in my chicken noodle soup! It is awesome, especially since Knorr has started to add MSG to their buillon cubes.

Yep.
The other one at Publix (here) starts with an "m" does too. Last few boxes of Knorr's I bought I threw away because of the MSG.
The "Better than Bouillion" (or however the hell it's spelled) is just a little more expensive, but it's organic & tastes great!
Bouillon. Weird spelling... Like a different language or something.
