Hi all - Saw this beastie on CL. 620 Multistrada Dark. Been fighting with bad wrists for a bit. Thinking my Sportster was maybe not the best choice for me. Ex Bicycle racer, alot of wear . Broken both hands several times, and they've come back to bite me. Looked up tests on it. Hmm. Everybody said "superlight clutch". Ok then. We know it'll have much more brakes. Upright position, longer travel suspension. Known to be a pet rock in reliability. So, went and looked at it. Liked it a lot. Put the Sporty up fs. Had a buyer, I caved in, cancelled the sale. Couldn't do it. Had a long talk with myself and the ortho guy. Reality is, I won't get better. Best is to not make it worse. Then, the Duc's seller called. He *really* want an FLH he had his eye on. If I brought cash the next day, he'd drop almost $1000 to $3500. Ok, then. Went straight to the bank. 7k on the bike. 1200 mile on full service. Factory recalls done by Pro Italia. Arrow exhaust system. New tires. Rizoma bars and risers. Track stand and tailbag. Went for an 80 mile, twisty intensive back road ride. My hands didn't hurt when I came home. I'm a happy boy! It's my 4th Duc, I know what I'm getting into. Check out my gallery for some of the past rides. Been riding regularly since the '80's.  And, I'm really liking it. Light, simple, fun to ride. Feels like a bicycle.  Now, to do something about those "chicken strips"......http://i933.photobucket.com/albums/ad173/wdonley/00m0m_58ZCXr0Vaxf_600x450.jpg

I kind of like them.  They somehow say "I'm a god damn maniac".

They seemed to do it to a Buell rider yesterday. Just leaving work, riding down our main drag. He was in the other lane. Hoodie, black helmet with tat looking skulls.  I went by, just riding with traffic. He felt compulsed to wheelie thru the middle of town to put me in my place........

Really diggin' it after a month or so on it. Ride to work probably 3 to 4 days a week. Got roads around here that are home ground for it, so I get to have some fun taking the long way home. Turning out to be a great choice for my particular useage.....http://i933.photobucket.com/albums/ad173/wdonley/IMG_1158.jpg

Congratulations on a great bike!  I also picked up one of these mini-multi's in 2012 and couldn't be happier.  I use mine as a second bike around town and to get out on the nice backroads.  As you said its very light and a nice comfortable upright position.  The handling is pure Ducati sport bike. You don't see a lot of these on the road but lots of happy owners with sort of a rare gem as they were only made for 2 yrs.  Enjoy.  Mark
