I am 5' 10" and have the MRA screen from Kawi, improvement over stock but still had complaints since it put the wind blast right under my helmet so it was noisy and occasionally buffeted.  Tried the Givi screen and it was horrible for me.  It had a huge negative pressure area that would pull me forward and put real pressure inside my helmet, hard to explain but it was terrible, I went back to the MRA one.

I just installed the Madstadt adjustable mount and that should solve my MRA complaints since now I can not only make it higher, but adjust it fore and aft, which to me is the number one issue with screens, you cannot adjust the deflection pitch.  Haven't tested it yet thanks to the snow, but I am pretty sure it will do the job.  A bonus is the Madstadt can not only use any Versys screen, but also any V-Strom screen, so the options are HUGE.

I've got the Kawasaki higher/wider one, and it does a good job. But windshields all hinge on your height etc.

I bought my V used, and it came with the Powerbronze Touring windshield.

http://www.powerbronze.co.uk/Shop/Product.aspx?PROD_ID=906515&MC_ID=818268

It was installed on the middle setting (there are three), and my dumb ass didn't notice until winter came Rolleyes. I found the middle setting to drive the wind straight into my forehead, giving me a sore neck after long trips on the highway. Slouching a bit seemed to solve the problem. I'm going to change the screen to it's highest setting, and see how that works.

For the record, I'm 6'2" with a 34" inseam.

Any way you could post a couple of pictures? I would like to see the setup from the cockpit and from the side if you could, and am I correct that it is adjustable for angle and height(their site is kinda vague)

Mine came with a stiffening plate.  Seems he made this brace because of the wobble.  From what I heard the screen would move side to side a bit from the wind buffeting because the arms of the mount weren't as stiff as oem (which could be expected considering all the adjustments).  According to Madstadt, the stiffening plate solves this, it is basically a rather thick brace that mounts between the arms over the existing thinner bridge.  No idea if it solved the problem, but I haven't heard complaints recently.

The Versys allows for 3 different mounting heights with any windshield. That's really the only adjustability there is.  I suppose you could use rubber washers to change the angle of the windshield.

I'll have to see what I have for pictures. I just stripped all of the plastics off of my bike for a thorough cleaning today, so it might be a little while if I don't have any good ones of the windshield.

How does your touring compare to the Givi screen and Kawi tall screen from MRA?

Never seen either one but from what I have read its a touch taller (about 18 inches from top to bottom) than either one of those. Looking at the MRA and Givi they look like they are about the right height and shape to cause a lot of odd wind noise and buffeting though. But like I said I have never seen one in person so I have no idea how well they work. Its my opinion of course but I think mine look better too.  Lol

I may try yours out,FYI to all
stock is 11 tall by 81/2 at narrowest and 137/8 at widest, mra is 14 tall and ?? no measure given at widest, they give overall at 15.35inch height, but I have no idea where they get that as they state 2 to 3 inches over stock (which is it fellas?)

Don't forget you have 2+ inches of mounting options to play with too. The top of mine is 20 inches above the keyhole when mounted in the middle holes. You could mount it up probably another 1/2 inch.

yeah I know but don't want it too tall about 16 or 17 max,and I hope that doesn't buffet, sometimes too tall or wide isn't a good thing,i experianced that with the 1997 Triumph Trophy I had, I may go with your mid sized one and set it lowest first then will as always adjust as I go Thumbsup
