Title: Interest in an RTE Sept 16th Eskimo Joe's
Post by: aviationfred on August 29, 2017, 01:30:49 am
Since the annual Spring RTE to Eskimo Joe's was basically rained out. There has been mention about possibly doing another sometime. I am thinking that Sept. 16th looks like a good date. A mid fall gathering before the temps drop and the dreaded 38 degree rainy days set in.

Arrival time is 10:30, OSU is playing Pitt in an away game. We can try and get in as soon as the doors open and get seated before it gets real busy.

We'll be at the Rich Mountain Rendevouz on the Talimena Drive that weekend.  :(

I could make it that Saturday, but if the schedule needs to change a week or two that would be fine with me. I haven't checked OSU's home schedule though.

This is still on. I definitely need a get away ride.

That was a nice RTE lunch, and I learned quite a bit about older FJ's.  They have quite a cult following as I found out later doing a bit of research.

We were sorry to have missed this. We had already registered and paid for our Rich Mountain Rendevouz trip. It was a fund raiser for an organization that supports foster children while they are in the system.

Much better weather this time. My son and I dodged thunder storms on the way home though.

Not a large turn out, but is was an all Yamaha affair.

FJ-09
FJ1100
FJ1200
FJR1300

I didn't get any shots of the late models as they boogied before I could snap a few pics.
