Yeah yeah yeah Title: Re: Rick Johnson Post by: Blue is Best on April 24, 2020, 09:04:19 am WOW! The good old days! I was 5'8" and about 145 lbs. and bought a new 1986 CR250. I loved that bike. The track where they held the interview was like the ones I rode on and the type of terrain we practiced on and fun rode on. DRY!
TRUE STORY. All my stories true, actually. It was Winter 1995 at the local track in Phoenix. Rick Johnson and the Honda van showed up with Brian Lunnis, his mechanic, and Rick's parents' motorhome. Rick blasted around the track and cleaned out the local top guys. He showed off over all the jumps and had speed none of us had for sure. I talked with Brian for quite a time as I've always been a back yard mechanic and I love two strokes. I spoke with Rick's parents also for quite awhile. I will never forget that time and I have a picture of Rick jumping the big jump. I'll have to find it and post up. 6/1/20: Big mistake! Above I wrote 1995. It was 1985!! Title: Re: Rick Johnson Post by: rajflyboy on April 24, 2020, 12:41:24 pm Rick was rather detail oriented. He knows every part on that bike and good and bad of each part and how foot pegs interact with boots (I guess these kids have it easy now)(equipment is so good now)
