Title: Supercross 2021
Post by: Blue is Best on March 14, 2021, 02:21:10 pm
Tenth race of the seventeen race 2021 series. Cooper Webb won last night and Roczen didn't do well at all. So Cooper is now the number 1 plate holder by seven points. Tomac is down by 33(?) points. If Cooper stays healthy and doesn't have bad luck it looks like he may be champ for the 2nd time after his 2019 championship.

He's only seven points ahead of Roczen with seven rounds remaining.  :headscratch:

Yeah, but, Roczen's momentum is zilch. He hasn't done well at all in the last four races and Webb has. The game has changed.

Webb won again last night. Points lead went up from 7 to 12 points!!

In the West 250 series in the first four races  FOUR different winners!

I'm casually following the 250 east. Hoping my buddy's kid (Nichols) holds on to the points lead. I would like to see another Okie champion.

Last night, March 20, was great. Anyone that can get these races on TV should really spend some time watching. Fantastic entertainment.

Cooper Webb did it again!! Three in a row and stretching his points lead. Roczen led most of the race and was looking like his old self but Webb Just out rode him.

The 250 race was another good one. Justin Cooper became the first two time winner in this fifth race of the series.

I watch the action! Besides, Ricky Carmichael is now one of the broadcasters.

Another reason I donít watch.  Great rider.  Iím just not into him as a broadcaster.  Iíd love it if they had Rick Johnson or Jeremy on there.   I do like Jeremy when he does the Kawasaki segments 👍

First round yesterday of the next three races to be raced in Atlanta. Tomac won this one with Webb coming in third. Roczen     he just can't keep up his momentum. Webb now lead him by 22 points.

In the 250s we had an eighteen year old rookie win his first supercross! That was a good race.

Cooper Webb is just getting it done. Roczen couldn't keep the lead, fell over, and finished sixth. Only one more race  and it looks like Webb only has to keep it on two wheels for his second championship. Last night's race was in Salt Lake City and the next race on Saturday for the final will also be in SLC.

In the 250s we had another first time winner. Schomoda(sp?) is eighteen and won his first ever pro class race.

Cooper Webb is the champ again. Number two for him.

He ran near the top and then fell back to third and could have just followed around and won the championship with his points lead. No way! He put a charge on and won the race!!

Supercross just isnít as good under covid.     They need to go back with a more traditional schedule.   They need new announcers on NBC as well.

Their multi-race schedule at some cities is OK. They rearrange the track after each race. Every racer has to do his best on the same track so it is even for everyone. This year had seventeen races.

Itís all about the dirt.   Not many riders are good everywhere.   Riders have their preferred dirt (tracks).   Iíd prefer the old schedule due to this.

Agreed. The accents drive me crazy. I DVR the first hour and a half or so, tune in and speed through the commercials and REALLY annoying commentary.

Congrats to Okie Colt Nichols on his 250 championship. I used to ride quite a bit with his dad back in the day.
