A couple of weeks ago on a ride I passed a fellow  in a Toyota 4Runner with a roof rack on top. His dog was riding up there in the clear wind.        I'm not a pet person but if I had one I don't think I'd take a chance on my pet's safety. Bike or top of a car.

Thatís kinda real crazy.  Yes sir.  At least this rider made a helmet for his furry little friend.

I see people doing it every now and then on a bike or scooter and the first thing that comes to mind is STUPID. Some people get overly attached to their pets and treat them like they are humans, and some even better than humans. They're not, they're animals which means at some point they will do something totally unpredictable. I love my dog, but he's a dog not a human and will at some point do what animals do (not use his animal brains). I wouldn't risk his life doing anything exactly for that reason.
