Title: R4 Help List
Post by: DavidLSI on September 13, 2009, 02:27:02 pm
Just to keep things clear and move this form to the first post I thought a new thread was in order.
Taking the prompt of the others this form was created to build a list of people offering help to riders in need.

If you have something to offer please add your name to the list.

If you want to make a change or have yourself removed PM me or post a reply and the change will be made.

As noted on the form I do want to point out that this is an open file that anyone can view.  So you may want to spell your phone number out "eight four seven" instead of 847 but the choice is yours.

I think alphabetically by state and the city will do for sorting the list as it grows.

Questions or Suggestions are encouraged...

David

Maybe print and keep in tank bag when you leave home?

Since this is a Google doc, does that mean our phone numbers will be available to Google?

Is there a way to enter them as text - "Eight Four Seven Five Four Nine etc etc etc etc?" to avoid any problems?

I do not think Google goes in and mines the information.  But any one can certainly enter the numbers that way.   I do believe that you can adjust the cell/column width.  The number can be entered without the dashes as well.

Minnesota list was pretty sparse so I added myself. Not much in the way of tools or garage space but lots of friends that can help.

Lots of people in Illinois but mostly around Chicago. I'm father south near I-57 so I added my info. The Cell # got truncated though. Can you fix it David? The number is Two One Seven - 766-3314

Can you update mine, with something along the lines of full garage available, and can call anytime (weird hours ok). Riders always welcome and have access to a truck/trailer in a pinch.

Great idea, David..!!

Added my name to the list. Joined STN years ago, back before the re-rorg. I was a CA (region 1) guy back then, but moved to IL in 2006. Came along on a few group rides with the guys from region4, some of you might even remember a bright blue Triumph Daytona 955i.

I sold that bike and bought a Jeep, which is why I haven't been around for a while now. Anyway, I just recently bought a 2002 EX250 Ninja....quite the different ride from my last few bikes (Trident 900, GSXR-750, Daytona 955i). :)  Stoked to be back on 2 wheels again, and glad to still have the Jeep too.... :D

Dave.

I added my info. I'm in very southeast Wisconsin with plenty of garage space and tools. Decent amount of know-how as well.

Info added. I have an enclosed trailer for towing, a garage, tools & a tire changer.

Edited to add: I really don't have an extra bed or couch, but I do have a spot you can throw a tent w/ electricity & a shower if needed.

Been a long time since I was active on this board, but if anybody has the unfortunate luck of being in southern Indiana and the even more unfortunate luck of getting stranded look me up
