Just joined the forum. Not sure where to put this, but wanted to say HI!

Now firmly committed, we purchases a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST two weeks ago, making a trip to Milwaukee last weekend.

Have some questions of course and would like to meet other people that share this interest.

Best regards, Rudy and Chris

Welcome!  I am about a year into my 09 Sprint ownership and would be happy to answer questions if I can.

That's why I also have a ".de" email address ;-)
Are you from Switzerland?

Well, Google says that there is a Pittston in both PA and ME...  Of course that assumes that he is in the States     Smile

Hello from the High Desert of Southern CA! (think bathroom stop on the way to Vegas)

I recently purchased a new (to me) 03 Honda VFR800 Interceptor, only had about 10K miles on it.  My first bike is a 96 Honda VF750C Magna.

I've taken a couple trips on the Magna from when I was living in Kansas.  The first, I rode it from Junction City to Springfield, MO, and then took it down Highway 125 into Peel, AR, taking the ferry over the state line, and then back up into Springfield by way of Branson.  The second trip was a family camping trip based out of Estes Park, CO, where I towed the bike behind us there, and then got some riding in on the Peak to Peak Byway and in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

Now that I've got the Interceptor, I'm looking to take more weekend to week long trips, namely, mapping out a Saddle Sore 1000 probably from Barstow to Salt Lake City and back, and I'd like to take a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway.  I made the drive down Highway 1 with my family as a teen, and would really like to make that drive again.

I joined this forum mostly to glean some experience from other riders, especially when it comes to longer trips, as well as steal some ideas on trips to take.

I'd be more than willing to meet up with other riders in the area.  I have family just north of San Diego, end up heading into LA way more often than I'd like, and I certainly would like to make some friends in Vegas! Cool

The V4 in the Magna is probably the biggest reason I knew I had to get an Interceptor.  I just finished getting it back into ride-able condition, and I must say, even though it's not a track bike, it certainly doesn't leave me wanting in the performance department.  And the VTEC definitely gives this bike a Jekyl/Hyde nature.  I've got some frame and axle sliders on the way, and then I'm probably going to take her over to the Angeles National Forest to get better acquainted.

Welcome to the site! Nice taste for your new bike, too. I had a VFR 750 - it was hard to sell that bike, it was so much fun!
