That's not what I found on the '15 FZ-09 I rode, but it had the updated mapping from the factory. Seems Yamaha is providing free map updates to owners of earlier models at no charge.
I believe you said you had your FZ-09 remapped, was it the factory update? Stoltec? Vcyclenut?

Nick at Stoltec did my remapping. It helped a lot but still was not something I wanted. The stock ECU has an off throttle engine braking map so severe it would compress the front suspension. Nick addressed all of this an more. But, as a racer he wanted to preserve the HP and performance at all costs. I would have easily sacrificed 5 hp to get a ride-able bike. I'm glad Yamaha changed the map. Try a original mapped version and you will instantly see what I mean.
