hopefully the throttle on the FJ 09 will be toned down a bit since it's a touring bike.  Hear they have a couple of ride modes?  I'm all but sold on this bike.  Like the looks of it better than the Tiger and my right foot won't get toasted EEK!
The Yammie guys at the IMS, both on the floor of the show and at the test ride tent (where I rode the FZ-09), said the FJ has a completely different map.

That's not what I found on the '15 FZ-09 I rode, but it had the updated mapping from the factory. Seems Yamaha is providing free map updates to owners of earlier models at no charge.

I believe you said you had your FZ-09 remapped, was it the factory update? Stoltec? Vcyclenut?

Paul

Nick at Stoltec did my remapping. It helped a lot but still was not something I wanted. The stock ECU has an off throttle engine braking map so severe it would compress the front suspension. Nick addressed all of this an more. But, as a racer he wanted to preserve the HP and performance at all costs. I would have easily sacrificed 5 hp to get a ride-able bike. I'm glad Yamaha changed the map. Try a original mapped version and you will  instantly see what I mean.

Here was my bike.

The Mods are:

Michelin Pilot Power 3's
Full Trackside Suspension and Engineering rework of my suspension
- Penske 8983 Shock with remote
- GP Suspension revalve piston kit
- GP Suspension 90 KG fork springs
Spiegler SS Brake Lines
LED Headlight Conversion
Ermax 25 CM flyscreen
Protaper EVO Bar
Gold Mad Hornets Shorty Levers
Gold Bar Ends
Rizoma grips
Progrip Tank Pad
Techspec tank gripper
Seat Concepts Seat
Yamaha Mesh Vent Covers
T-Rex Racing Engine Guards, Sliders, Axle Sliders
EVO Tech Radiator Guard
EVO Tech Tail Tidy/Tail Light
Smart Brake Light Modulator - Vizi-tec SupaBrake2
ECU Reflash - Stoltec Moto
Pipe? meh. To much $ for a noise maker.
