Good news.  The more bike options, the better for everyone!

This looks like it's going to complete more with the Multistrada for street prowess and less with the GS and KTM Adventure on the off-road ability.

I don't think the world needs another faux adventure bike with a 17" front wheel. A Ulysses with huge HP doesn't interest me, but I bet that's more or less what they build. Add an extra inch of suspension travel and some new plastic to the SX and call it the "AX".

Will this be what people AX'd for?

Sorry just proving a point that I'm not that clever.

May you only ever meet people with headlights just like yours.

I hear ya.  It's like putting big aluminum panniers on your KTM SM and calling it an Adventure bike.

But, this Buell should make for a nice touring bike.  Unfortunately, the marketing gods have deemed "adventure" sells better than "touring."    Lol

There, I fixed it for ya.  Lol

Local Buell dealer can't give away the  RX's or SX's, can't imagine the AX doing any better IF it produced.
November 2013, at AIMExpo, the Buell guys assured me the AX would be at the 2014 show and in the market in 2015.  No AX and no Buell display at the 2014 show, only a small demo fleet. Me, not not optimistic about the birth of an AX.... but time will tell.

Not only will it have to compete with the Multi but also the BMW X 1000 SR and who know what else in 2016......

That article has already been hyped and is based on total speculation.  Nothing to see here (did I really do that) move along.
