New Norton in the flesh

Picking up some maintenance items at my local Guzzi dealer and finally get to see the Norton in person. Beautiful bike. Engine really looks old. Extremely narrow at the back of the tank and front of the seat. This is the up-spec model that goes for $22k. First one they have for sale as all others went to pre-order customers immediately. No demos, unfortunately. Sorry about the lousy cell phone pic.

The Norton Commando was a sexy machine but it is always difficult to recapture that magic.

Very nice looking and updated equipment. But that is a lot of coin compared to what can be purchased now. Seems like they are taking a big chance on this one.

I dig it. Had I 22 large, I'd drop it no question.

Nice bike, sure, but for $22k I'm pretty sure I could modify a used something or other to be better and nicer in every way and have a lot of change left over. They're leaning pretty hard on the nostalgia button.

I really liked it as well. $22k isn't cheap, but it isn't all that expensive relative to a lot of other motorcycles. The lower spec one is $17k I believe, but unclear when one will be available. Keep in mind this is for sale in San Francisco, where $22k is not a lot of money relative to total cost of living. They shouldn't have any issue selling it.
Probably wouldn't want it as an only bike - that's where things start to get expensive
