Always interested in how folks use their limited, or unlimited, holiday ride plans.

What are you thinking? The US vs CDN Dollar got you down?

I am thinking two rides and so far, they will both be in the US. Why ? Gas, food and accommodation will always be cheaper in USA than Canada. Even with the exchange.

WABDR dual sport and hopefully a ride to Baker City on the Guzzi. If I am lucky, head to Baja in Oct and stay riding for a month.

You ?

The big one for me...the ADVrider D2D in Dawson City, and on to Inuvik in June...but I plan to hit Lewiston and the Lolo Pass at least once, and to ride the length and breadth of Vancouver Island this year. I usually get 4 days a week to ride, so I plan to make the best of them.
My girlfriend wants to ride to New Mexico, but I don't see it happening in 2015. The Alps, Argentina and James Bay will have to wait another couple years ...but I do have an uncle in Florida that I need to visit...could be a fun run on the Buell.  I don't have a lot set in stone yet.

WCRM for sure.  I'd like to figure out a trip to Homer in August or maybe Banff.  I'd like to head north of the border this year.

Our annual escape to Moab is planned in about a month.  Our Escape trailer helps with the accommodation (and meal) costs.

We'll likely head to Oregon in August, also with the 250's in the van & the trailer on behind - the cost savings are substantial & the SuperMotos are a ton of fun when we get there Bigok

Otherwise Shrug we'll tuck in some other trips - Kootenays, Highway 20, Shrug ...

A big thing for us this year is that we have a new Kart Track that we'll be enjoying via SuperMoto and mini - racing a 125 should be a hoot!

Also more dirt biking - I am determined to get better at it - the other reason for now owing a 125!!!

Mid to late August, south to the Grand Canyon and southern Utah.  I want to hit the Million Dollar highway in Colorado on the way down.  Planning to hit Tetons/Yellowstone, Beartooth pass on the way home.

Black Hills in early June, and Pacific Coast Highway from Canada south in late August & early September. I will be retired in late August, so the 2016 list should be much longer.

Sounds great !  Be happy to help you with any aspect of the trip. Post up some specifics. For Black Hills, PM birdrunner  ...  Bigok to gain a Canadian must do.

For your run west ... then south ... depends.

Shooting for Moonshine in April, if the details of the relocation plan allow.
Tons of 2-3 day rides checking out the new home turf - NC, SC, GA, TN, SW VA, WV, KY...
Not sure what I'll do for my long fall ride yet... would like to tag New England with the new bike.

After the trip I had last year (39 days - 19k kms) I am going to take it easier this year with what should be a two week ride.

Current plans are to go up the Saguenay River in Québec, maybe jump in one of the tour boats to see the Fjord, go North and across to Northern Ont. before going down again.  Not sure where yet but we'll cross to the States and then slow down in PA where we want to expore some roads.

Oh yea, my riding buddies want to stop in Trenton to see the National Air Force Museum in Trenton Ont. before we cross to the US. We'll have to backtrack a little bit to do that.

Boise in May, all secondary roads. Radium Hot springs in June with some back roads. Reno in July, as many side roads as I can do coming and going. What ever else I can fit into long weekends. We are planning a trip to New Zealand next winter so have to keep this summers travel costs in check, it's a sacrifice I am willing to make  Rolleyes

I was hoping to make WCRM. Alas, new transmission for the boat has decided that won't happen. But, when I went back to the Canadian parent board what did I see? BBBBQ is back! Awesome. There, if I do ONE thing this year, it will be that. Iffin Bubba will have me ;-)
