I'm not putting this in the Sales Section because it's not really a for sale ad
I have a 2000 RSV Mille in Austin, Texas. Low mileage but, hasn't been ridden in about 10 years
I suspect with my bum leg that, I will not be able to ride it very effectively so, I'm thinking that I may have to let it go.

I hate to read that you're not going to be able to enjoy it.

Even before I broke my leg, it was more bike than I was capable of riding
A lotta racing DNA in that thing.

Too bad it is a not comfortable any longer. I remember drooling over the same colour Mille, at a dealership just outside Reno. I was going to suggest you reposition that bike somewhere in the PNW, like here !!
and would have been happy to offer free storage and TLC for the occasional ride around Kootenay Lake.
We need a few Team Orson reports from this side of the border.

I've just turned in my resignation after 14 years in Saudi
A bit scary going without a paycheck. Feels a bit like stepping off a high diving board
Hope to make it to the Maritimes and eventually back to B.C.
But not with the Mille

Well, if you want someone to hold it to keep it in decent condition for you, I'll gladly take it and use it as a track bike and keep it in good working order. I'm guessing I'd enjoy it more on the track than my '03 Tuono that currently serves dual street hooligan/track duty.
And I already mentioned that when in Chicago, you can throw a leg over either the TUono (much easier to handle than the RSV, although I have modified the heck out of it) or the VFR1200.
Sucks that it's not being used, and that you don't think you'll be able to ride it...

Beautiful bike. I lusted after one of those for a long time, but couldn't afford it back in the day. Now I am in love with my V11 LeMans and am afraid to even try a Mille...lol. More hp would just be a bad thing... I climbed on a new CBR1000 a few weeks ago, and realized my hips will not put up with a really racy riding position any more...chances are the Mille would punish me too badly to enjoy riding it. At least that is what I am going to tell myself...lol

I think the Mille is not something to be sampled every day or, for that matter, for long periods of time. A bit like Absenthe, it is a guilty and punishing pleasure.

Congrats on the "walking papers"! Even with less $, being retired is still my best job and hopefully you can get some riding in before deciding to hitch up to another plow.
Cheers

It's definitely a young man's bike, demanding to be ridden athletically.
Oh, to have had this bike when I wuz a strapping, young lad
Although, I may not have reached old man status

Being recently retired, you have time to fix it up and enjoy it a few times before letting it go? Then buy another Guzzi.

Congrats on the ticket out of Knoteetingham Orson, it gives me a mild bout of healthy envy as I still hv a few years to go here in the DXB Sandpit.
Cheers!
