Went and picked up my new to me 2013 Multistrada GT today - very low mileage and mechanically stock with a couple of useful farkles added.

Traded in the Concours 14 - since my shoulder injury been looking for a different riding position and lighter weight,  plus I've always wanted a Ducati.

Nice choice!

If you don't mind me asking, what'd you end up paying for it?

Reason I ask is that I'm starting to shop for another MTS myself... I've convinced myself that my 2010 was a problem child and that they can't all be like that one.

Not at all... It's a great bike, but it needs a stable mate. Something to tour on. The Tuono's going to be around for a while...

The more I look around, the less I like any of the new options out there in my price range. However, I have found several slightly used multis that I wouldn't have to take out a mortgage for...

Nice to hear - always good to add another ride to the garage. I find 2 is a good number - when you get to 3, one always ends up sitting way too much.

My Tuoldo is enjoying having the VFR1200 around ... That is, if it enjoys resting.  Bigok

That will change when it gets warm...  Bigsmile

I haven't changed my location yet, but moved to SC a few weeks ago.

After being snowed in for the last three months, and then fixing the damage inflicted upon the bike by the movers, I was finally able to get it out last night... and all was well in the world!

Can't wait to take it back up state and hit the dragon again.

While I've had my share of issues with the Mutley in 30,000 miles -- I still don't see anything I'd swap it for. Maybe the 1190 Adventure. Day-to-day I've been happy, but I /have/ had almost every catastrophic issue (coolant eating heads, gas tank) that these are known for.

Dunno. Maybe I'm a sick man. It's an early '11, thoygh. Buying used, I'd make sure the coolant swap was done early because that would have been a shocking non-warranty bill.
