First the seller has to get frustrated that his "new leftover 2020 Suzuki GSX-S1000. In grey and red." isn't Blue...

If it's any consolation I picked up my new Tenere 700 yesterday. And yeah, it's blue!

I hope so. I realized I wasn't doing any knurly backwoods trails anymore and mostly was just bombing along on dirt/gravel roads and some double tracks. This T7 ought to be fine there, along with being able to run comfortably on the highways which the WR250 wouldn't do.
Time will tell, but looking real good so far. Day one put 60 miles on it, with only 1 mile off pavement. This weekend I'll see how it does getting out of the Starbucks parking lot!

Nope, not allowed there. Not a BMW.

Sounds awesome! Although I recently purchased a BMW I didn't get the "Starbucks Edition" (GS) but I still consider the VStrom 650 my "main" bike.
It's not nearly as capable at the T7 but it's still be a LOT of fun on gravel roads and the occasional trail. I really like the way it does curvy roads too.
You're in for a lot of fun!

As a matter of fact (you know who will like that phrase), I sold it last night.
Down to 3 Yamahas and the Moto Guzzi Griso. No thumper (first time in I don't know when, maybe 25 years?)

As a matter of fact -- I need a thumper --- just don't have anywhere close enough to ride off-road make having it worthwhile... But I do miss dirt!!!

About the Starbucks reference. My oldest son got an "Adventure Starbucks" sticker from the "Wheel Nerds" podcast and put it on the back of one of the GS side cases. He thought I would take it off as soon as I saw it, but we had a good laugh and I left it on until weather destroyed it. It lasted over a year. There were always running jokes, mainly because he knew I was too cheap to spend $5 on a coffee.
When a guy at the BMW dealership parked next to me and saw the sticker, he called me an "assshole" with his back to me. That was worth having the sticker on my bike!

I think it's hilarious ANOTHER BMW rider would be offended by that. I could understand being pissed if someone on a wee-strom said something to a BMW rider -- but it's on YOUR BMW for God's sake...

Maybe some people just take things too serious?

I ordered a set of Touratech Zega Pro Panniers. Should arrive today. These are for street riding a touring. The Mosko Moto's are for offroad and camping.

Ouch. I feel attacked or in today's parlance maybe even "triggered."
Not really. I love the good natured ribbing that goes on. I have been in a corporate setting since retiring from the Air Force so motorycle culture / motorcyclist banter keeps me sane.
Almost everything else is way too "PC"
Now, where's that nearest Starbucks ?
