Not all who wander are lost. I probably am, though

I'd certainly not part with $17K+ for something that doesn't make my heart skip a beat.
Friend in MN just got one -- NOS '13 -- for under 10k. There's discounts to be had.

I wouldn't part with a penny for any bike if it didn't make my heart skip a beat AND put a big grin on my face. It's not about the cost, it's about the smiles per mile.

You should get a Motus then, if "It's not about the cost" cause those things are AWESOME!!!

I wasn't in love with mine when I test rode it,but I did enough research to know that with a few tweaks and modifications that it would be much better than what it was stock.....and I was right. A few mods a few changes and adjustments and it is one of the best bikes I have ridden. It's a real world bike, tons of torque, shaft drive, long travel suspension, comfortable ergo's and seat, reliable engine, smooth shifting, and a major dealer network. I wouldn't have considered it, if it wasn't a smoking good deal.

Congrats on the S10 xbud. We'll have to do some big bike friendly adventure rides next season. I picked up an 1190 this spring and a couple local guys have an S10 and a 1200GS. In fact, I'm heading out to the Laurel Highlands tomorrow for an end-of-season dirt road rip on the 530.

I've owned 7 bikes so far and the S10 is the only bike I'd replace with the same thing.
Mine is a 2012 1st gen and the 2014-up 2nd gen has some slight upgrades.
