Your son's gear made all the difference.
Imagine what the t shirt and jeans rider would've looked like. Sorry about the bike.
Yea, it's funny too. His jacket is all torn down by his wrist, but it's up by his elbow where the rash is. Maybe it rode up that far? I would hate to think what ho would look like without the gear.
I'm really glad I got it for him.

Your son could have been hurt so much worse. Count your blessings.

I very much hate to see your rescued bike end this way. But, + 1 on your son's condition. That's the most important thing here.
And, let's not forget to demonize that stupid cow! I will purchase and consume a nice big steak in your honor this weekend in protest of that evil cow.

So the bike is totaled? Granted, it doesn't take much for older bikes, but it didn't look too bad in the photo...

Yes best part is my son really wasn't hurt.
Second best part, I bought a new (used) bike to finish the vacation on.
I bought it thinking I would just sell it when I got home. But after 3000 miles on it I kind of like it.
Tuned it up today, cause it was due.

Oh yea,
I got a call from the dealer. They are up to $11,000.00 on the repair and stopped.
So yes the bike is totaled.
