This is a repeat of a ride we did two years ago in September. Mcrider007 - Steve, who is a member here and PNWRiders - puts this together each year and it was a great event that we dovetailed with to create the WCRM.5 . So why not again this year?  Headscratch

Baker City is a great destination that offers excellent roads on the way and many riding "loops" nearby. The motel is one of  older variety that you can park your bike in front of your room. It has a pool and the price of the room includes breakfast at their restaurant. The motel is downtown, in the historic district of Baker City within walking distance of everything, including a Yamaha dealer. It is clean, well run and the parking lot is perfect for bench racing and meeting new riders.

They are going to give us last years rate of $37.80 for a single bed and $48.60 for a room with two beds, just call 1-888-523-5882 or 541-523-5844 and tell them you are part of "Steve's Ride".  Hellofa deal if you ask me.   Bigsmile

Damn! I have already prepaid for the Horizons Unlimited Canada West meet that weekend, and figured I should go to one of them, so I can't make it this year. Sniff sniff...

We enjoyed our HU Meeting. Very interesting and a little intimidating!  And at the same time, I think I could do a better presentation than half of the ones we saw  Lol

Probably will be warm but one year we had the warmest July on record followed by the coldest August on record.....anything can happen.

Am in.
August 21, 22, 23.

WCRM is normally a Fri-Sat-Sun combo, so I reserved my Fri and Sat nights at the motel.
So rooms for the nights of 21st and 22nd.
Gotta have time for the nice Saturday loop rides - like the past years.
Come join ...  Ride quality, evening walking distance to everything and minimal cost doesn't get any better, imo!

Just outside my wheelhouse right now. If I still lived in Redding it would be doable. Baker City is a nice town.

I know it is July. Contemplating the end of August is depressing for motorcycle riders. Yet, every year I have done so, planning a late August ride, the more I am thankful.
