Maybe adjust the poll to add some variety for the "maybe" option.

< 30% chance that I'll make it
30-70% chance that I'll make it
>70% chance that I'll make it

That way those who are really close to attending can be counted on at a more accurate rate.

If I do it's going to be short and sweet.  Ride to from Chicago on the 8th in time for dinner and whatnot.  Ride back the next day.

I was thinking one night either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, with a ride back the next day... not sure I can swing it during the week...

But all of us Chicago area riders should talk. Prefer to ride with one or two of you guys as opposed to solo.

It's on my radar screen but I won't commit until the week before when I return from EST.O and see what the work and weather gods have in store for me.

I'm probably in the "<30% maybe" range at this point.

I have every intention of going...

Being local (comparatively, at least!) I can get from MKE to LA X in four hours or so...so it'd be a d@mned shame if I didn't make this a priority...especially since it'll likely be another decade before we see a National held here in flyover country.

For those who initially voted "maybe", please check your vote and see if there is a more accurate selection. Thanks

??? - Meet only happening during the week, Tues - Thurs, 8th thru the 10th.  My window very limited since don't get back from Utah until that Monday.  Plan on heading over the next day, 8th, and them come back on Wednesday.  Weather premitting.  Love some company on way there or back if it's in anyone else schedule.

Someone hasn't been paying attention for the last 11 years...

Seriously, the Nationals have always been mid-week events, giving those "long-distance sport-tourers" more time to get there from the far corners of the country. Week-end events are just regional meets...

Vote changed.

Why wouldn't national occur at the beginning or end of the week, allowing weekend participation AS WELL?

Seems silly.

I'd love to go and meet everyone in person, just don't see it happening during the week.

Because of the original thought was this: if the Meet was officially in the middle of the week, that would give the riders Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to get there, Wednesday to hang out, and then Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to get home. This is important for a National Meet, as it would in theory allow riders from national locations to attend with only a week off.

I attended a National Meet in West Virginia while I was living in Seattle. Not exactly doable over a weekend... Shrug

The last regional I went to was also a mid-week meet.  It worked out perfectly.  Thumbsup
