The original Honda ST list, which was the birthplace of WeSTOC in '96, is still going strong. It's the home of the committee which determines the location for WeSTOC each year. We also help organize, or actually organize the event if required. http://www.st-riders.net.

A few of our listers frequent this site too and that's how I was introduced to this forum. That and when I met Bubba up in Castlegar during a ride through his home town a few years back.

Personally I'm taking a hard look at the new '16 Yamaha FJR as my ST1300 is approaching 100k miles and I'm considering replacing it. Not that it needs replacing, but it feels like it might be time to try something new. Who knows, I might not be at WeSTOC on a Honda this year.  

It would be great to have some of you Sport-Touring.net folks join us in Grand Junction this August. As of today we have 40 registered to attend. Based on recent history we're expecting/planning for 150 or more. The more the merrier!!

The State of Colorado has 25 scenic & historic byways, the most of any State. SW Colorado has the largest number of scenic drives. This scenic byway starts a mere 15 miles from the WeSTOC hotel.

We’re pleased to announce that Richard Battles, owner of RKA Luggage, will be joining us at WeSTOC this year! He will be conducting two seminars during our rally.

The first presentation will be Monday night at the riders’ meeting and is entitled “The R.I.D.E.,” a seminar on communications systems. On Tuesday morning Richard will conduct his second seminar entitled “So, I gotta video camera, now whattaidowithit?”

Richard has also generously agreed to donate some door prizes for the drawing at Thursday’s closing banquet.

This year’s design features a 4 color STOC logo on the front incorporating a stylized version of the Colorado State flag. The 3 color graphic on the back depicts Grand Mesa, the largest mesa in the world, located just east of Grand Junction.

Nice design. Too bad your ride is not at a different time. I go over there a couple of times a year. One of my riding buddies lives in Grand Junction!





On another note, I don't think there are more than a couple here in Region 1 that know where Colorado is.

Ya, I spaced and posted it to the same region as last year's event in Spokane Valley. Didn't want to post it multiple locations and risk upsetting the moderators. WeSTOC is actually a Western US event so it technically could be posted in a few regions. We have people coming from all over the US. We even have a couple coming from Australia!

I'm heading to Grand Junction on the 19th to do a WeSTOC recon run, meet with the hotel staff and shoot some video along the recommended rides.

Maybe I'll post a link in the CO region back to this thread. Thanks for the heads up!
