Well I never thought there would ever come a day when riding the VFR was no longer enjoyable, sadly that day has already come and left.
This summer I rode approx 8000 kms on the VFR and I somewhat enjoyed the ride only because I am not as comfortable on it as I used to be.  I still love the performance of the bike. However if you are not comfortable, you are not going to be able to enjoy your riding as much, well in my eyes anyways. Since I love riding I had to do something about it.  I decided that since I really enjoy the 90-110 KPH speed range, and I love touring  that I needed to re-evaluate my riding needs.  So I traded my VFR in on something much larger, heavier, louder, and far more comfortable and very well equipped.  I bought myself a 2015 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited and I couldn't be happier!!!!  Definitely not a sport-touring bike.

The Ultra Limited will be fine for Sport-Touring, as its all about the mindset and riding style, NOT the machine.  Wink

They're the majority touring bike out there but they're not much of a Sport touring rig, not with less than four inches of suspension travel, hazardous cornering clearance and low low horsepower having to haul around a thousand pounds.  For the speeds mentioned, it'll be fine.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here but I'm still willing to bet you haven't ridden one lately.

Congratulations Rigger.

That will be a fine machine for you.

As long as you didn't buy a green one!  Get rid of it quickly if you bought a green one!!!

They toss around decently.  The low version a little less so.

Oh, you know someone had to say it.

It doesn't exist without pictures.

Congrats Rigger!  I picked up an Indian Vintage earlier in the year.  We all ride differently so the definition of 'sports' varies from person to person.  Important thing is, it works for you and you are happy.

Ride on and stay upright!

Here it is  Inlove  This was taken by a buddy of mine on my way home from the dealership.  It was quite cool outside and my face was very sore from non-stop smiling and the chilly temps kind of froze my face like that.  I asked Harley if the extended warranty would cover facial mutation from having a blast on the bike. They said they would look into it for me lol

That smile had nothing to do with the chilly temps! Lol  Great looking bikes aren't they? Cool

Sorry for the late reply but yes they are great looking bikes!!!!  And a total blast to ride!!!   In 2 1/2 weeks I have placed over 3000 kms on it.  The bike is going away for the winter on Monday.
