The Thruxton R is finally following the proper recipe for a modern retro cafe racer (boy, that's a mouthful) - classic chassis styling, up-to-date suspension, brakes and sportbike tires.

I could do without the wire wheels though.  Hopefully, that's an easy swap with the cast alloy wheels from the Bonnie family.

Yep that tics a few boxes for me.  
Finally, Triumph gets it and has installed dual discs up front. I get that a single disc provides ample stopping power, but it just offends my need for symmetry.    Like to see the above bike in other colours too !

We'll forgive the front Showa forks, if they help Triumph keep the MSRP down.  Actually, the BPF's are great, and look the part.

That vintage style fairing just about doubles the wow factor.

That is a properly good looking bike.

Triumph, once again, absolutely kills it in the styling and feature department.  My guess is they get it right with the price too.  I hope they sell a billion.

I sat on the cafe faired R in Spokane in August. Very pretty bike. Very narrow and the finish is excellent.  The bars are very low to accommodate the fairing. But after I win the lottery, it will be my Sunday morning bike.
