Oregon folks—post up! (Where in Oregon are you?)

Hi All—posting again after a long absence, which included a relocation from West Virginia to Eugene, Oregon.
I'm curious to find out who here lives in Oregon? (And anyone from Eugene?) Since moving to Eugene, I've seen a ton of adventure bikes (BMW's, KLR's and V-Stroms with hardcases) around here. Refreshingly, I see more adventure bikes than cruisers (which wasn't even remotely the case in Harley-dominated West Virginia).
I'm missing riding with people (in small groups of course), so just reaching out to make some local connections. My riding in Oregon since landing here in February has been limited, but I've ridden the whole coast on 101 (beautiful and interesting but SLOW), and done a couple of east-west rides in the Cascade foothills (Aufderheide Scenic Drive) and from Eugene to the coast (Reedsport) on backroads. I've also ridden north to Seattle via Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens (beautiful ride)...and looking to do more riding!

Yep—still alive! Life's just been insanely busy for the past 18 months with the big relocation...but things are settling back down again...which means I want to ride more!

You have certainly positioned yourself for riding.
126 east and connect with 242 to Sisters for wonderful day ride and lunch or on to Bend and explore the area north of there around Antelope.
Or south to Canyonville and the awesomeness of 227 ... ...
And ... you are in striking distance of The Borscht Burn too !
Welcome to the West !!

Thanks Bubba—I've actually bicycled up 242 and McKenzie Pass (awesome!) but still need to ride it on the moto. And I haven't ridden any farther east than Bend, so definitely need to check that out!

You must ride the Aufderheide. Stop at the clothing optional (riding gear not recommended at all) hot springs mid way.

I'm in Vancouver WA, just across the river north or Portland.
You need to ride out to Joseph, OR. Beautiful area and leads you into hells canyon area. That's a must ride if you haven't done it. Word of caution though. Lots of buffeting in the gorge on the way there and back if you take that route (I-84).
26 over mount hood out to bend is another nice ride. Lots of landscape changes. For a bonus you can go from bend to hood and continue on through Portland and out to the coast. Take 101 and enjoy the pacific view. Lots of nice things to see.

Hi, Scott! I'm in Bend.
Enjoy Eugene, which I didn't. Although I still get over for one or two Duck games a year.
Lots of great riding here in Orygun.

I'm in Yujin for the moment. Got here this afternoon, but I'm heading back to civilization tomorrow.
I went for a drive around town today. It's amazing how little has changed in the college end of town.

Hi All—original poster for this thread here. I've been pretty lame about both riding and hanging around here for the past several months. Mainly due to a high-pressure job with long hours and a family with two small kids. (The two of those have wiped out any notion of "free time" I may have LOL.)
I commute to work every day on my Wee-Strom...but have done very little real riding other than an occasional hour-long lunch ride on some excellent twisty roads southwest of Eugene. (Thankfully there is great riding right outside of town.)
Sagerat, I forgot you're in Bend—I'm sending you a PM!
Anyway, if anyone wants to ride, send me a PM. I'll try to keep an eye on them (and will check to see if there's an option to ping me via email when I get a PM). I'm itching to go for an epic ride somewhere! :-)
