OKayyy... 'Scuse my KTM ignorance, but What Is That Thang?

I don't recognize it at all. Might have something to do with the fact that the nearest KTM dealer is 5 hours away... but still...

Sweet bike! Sorry I didn't get my DR650 back on the road yet for you to try out...but I think you already knew what you wanted....lol.
That is a 640 isn't it? I have considered one myself...

Yep it is a 2006 KTM 640 Adventure
27.5 litres of fuel
450 km range
385lbs
54 hp
37.5 in seat height
11 inches of travel

Wanted one for a very long time. Been looking at this one for a few months, it is pristine, well loved and with just over 7,000 kms. Threaded adjuster valves make it easy to maintain.

First thing I did, when I moved to Castlegar, is put up a poster of a KTM 640 Adventure. I had sat on one at the Vancouver bike show the previous year and thought it was about the most exotic thing ...

In my garage tonight is an Adventure, the best year, I believe 2006. It is immaculate. No, really ... it is.

A good friend, and obsessive KTM rider, drove me to ST. Albert to get this bike.
Thanks to him, it arrived tonight safe and sound. 2000 km to get a KTM ?  This one is worth it ...

I am almost certain it's illegal, not to mention just plain "wrong", for an adventure bike of any flavour to be that clean once it leaves the showroom floor. Please rectify this immediately or confiscation may result...   Bigsmile

The grass is sparkely ...But yes, we still have green grass ... frost ..  I rode up a gravel road .

Dirt, massive washboard ,  a long summer of dust turned muddy.  Still, this bike is lightyears beyond my dirt experience.

The KLR was a reminder of my dirt past, I found it so much fun.  The DRZ400 overwhelmed me ofroadd, so fast,  amazing suspension. unreal bike on many levels, horrible for more than an hour on pavement.
