Congrats kai,

Galo had one, and he and I rode to the BBBBQ one year together.

The bike is of a similar vein to the XX and is awesome to eat miles with.

(Sorry I can't make the BBBQ but I only saw the revision after I cancelled my vacation time.)

Congrats on the GT!  It is a fine ride indeed.

As for the exhaust racket, I'm not much into loud muffler any more, but some stock muffler just scream to be deep six'ed.  The Sprint GT's is one of those - big, heavy and ugly.  I adapted the MIVV GP carbon can I took off the S3R to fit on the Sprint GT and I liked it a lot.  With my ear plugs on, which is all the time when I ride, I don't much hear the extra noise.  If you are not wearing earplugs, you should.

I do wear plugs and can her the note, especially the popping on deceleration. WHen I commented on it on the weekend in Nelson the other guys said it did not sound overly loud, so I will live with it.

Oh, yeah, had it out for the weekend out to Nelson for the reinvented meet. What a hoot. That bike corners so nicely. Still getting used to the power band, as the torque curve is completely different than the GSX 1250 I had ridden for 5.5 years. Fun bike.

Hi Bubba Zanetti,

It's been quite a few years since we've seen each other. I had a '03 and a '08 Sprint ST. Put 44K miles on both of them. Now have a '14 Tiger 800XC and just found a brand new (0 miles) '11 Sprint GT. Purchasing it also.

Spend a lot of time on my Tiger in BC.

Bob

Congrats Kai ... awesome bikes and very under rated imho.

Prepare for a future of long fuel stops as you will approached by old, teary eyed men asking if that is a real Triumph. You may as well sit down as they then regale you with stories of their Bonneville days from yesteryear !!  Lol

It is all part of Triumph ownership.   I miss my ST too! In fact it is for sale here in Castlegar !

That is a shame. I hope you find a Sprint to your liking.
