Hi,

I recently underwent one of the worst situations a bike owner can imagine. I had a garage fire and my heavily customized 2004 Harley Davidson Fat Boy was a complete loss. I was extremely fortunate that my father worked in insurance for most of his life and schooled me on the merits of providing myself with ample coverage.

The standard Progressive policy covered up to $1000 in custom accessories. I purchased an extended coverage policy for all of the extra components I had installed. This extra policy, while expensive, saved my skin.

Progressive treated me with respect and I am extremely pleased with the outcome.

I strongly encourage all Harley owners to sit down with a calculator and add up all of your little additions; chrome nut covers, chrome front forks, wheels, bars, pulleys, rotors, saddles, pipes, etc! You may well be surprised how much of your investment isn't covered by your standard policy!

I wish you all safe riding and safe storage!

Regards,
Matt
