Nearly a year old and I've neglected to introduce my new girl.  Shame on me.  The business end from a journey last summer.

Here are a couple pics of my 2000 Sprint ST.  I love it, but lowsided last June just a couple days after I closed on my first house.  That means I haven't been able to fix it just yet, but it will be ready in a couple months for sure.

Nate,

Nice senic pictures...oh yeah, the bike too.  Where were they taken?

Sorry to hear about the lowside.

Regards,

Gerry

I've only had it about 2 weeks.  I don't know what took me so long to get a trumpet but now I'm hooked.

Hey Capirex, thanks.

It took me a while to find someone to do it. I called like 10 places I think including a couple near DC and Baltimore; all but one said nope. A shop in Frederick, MD called Top Gun did it.

They tried to get the stickers off thinking maybe there was clearcoat underneath the stickers as well as on top. No go. After getting the stickers off, they had to sand, then repaint the lower fairing, then re-clearcoat it. It cost me $1000.

One thing I found out doing this is that the bottom layer of the sunset red color on the Sprints is fluorescent pink.  Hurl  I guess that helps give it its glow. The other color is a red, but somewhat unlike the sunset red color. The guy said he was getting scared that the paint he'd gotten wasn't going to turn out right. When he combined them, it turned out right.

Welcome turboderek!

You're going to love the bike. I sometimes wish that I had gotten the Sport. But, I love my 'bird. I'll never get rid of it.
You better get use to talking with old guys going on and on about their Triumphs from the 60's and 70's.  Lol

Sweet bike.  I looked at a red one before I got my BMW.  I think it had three exhausts.  It was close...

Sorry, three into two.
