Has anyone been to Mikes Sky Ranch ?
How do you get there? What are the accommodations like? Safety? etc?
Looks like an awesome place to go for a day or two

I've heard it is well run. But it's for
dirt bikers
!!!
I don't think I'd ride miles and miles to get there on my sport tires.

Accommodations are decent. As good as any in rural Baja. I wouldn't try getting in there on a street bike. Adv. and off roaders use it mostly as an overnight spot. 2 nights? Uh, there is not much to do around there. You can park your bike in the courtyard. Last time I was there the pool looked like a bowl of lime jello. The place is steeped in Baja off roading history. If you are planning an extended adv ride, put Mikes on the itinerary.

Thanks for the info !
I will probably try to go with one of the Drive Baja Tour deals. Go with experienced people.

Also adding to the chorus: It is a good place. No direct electricity, so they run a generator in the evening for hot water and lights, and it gets turned off at 10 (11?) each night. The food they served was good and the people we very friendly.
I'll second that you need not just a dirt bike, but a dirt bike with good tires. There is a LOT of deep sand between the pavement and the actual ranch.

Sounds like it's hard to get too.
Trophy Trucks racing Baja make it look easy

Not that hard to get to, you just need the right bike. Very near there is Rancho Meling. I've not stayed there, but I've heard it is nicer and the road is paved. Riding in Baja is a blast. If you are limited to paved roads your experience will be limited. The Mexican interior is beautiful and the people are generous. Now I'm Jonesen for a Baja ride. Get a good dual sport (Klr?) put some knobbies on. Carry extra gas. If you don't have a deep sand riding technique, you will by the time you get back. Steering damper doesn't hurt. There is a wealth of knowledge over at adv rider.

Now I'm Jonesen for a Baja ride.
Seriously. I want to take my husband with me and re-trace my first trip through Mexico back in 2004

Ha! I learned how to ride "off road" on my KLR on that Mexican trip. The guys I was with were not amused to learn that I had no dirt experience when I showed up
I think I did pretty good, when it was all said and done.
