So, it seems Quincy is a popular choice. What weekend?

Here is June actual temps for Quincy and historical averages. You can see temps rise about 2 degrees a week. So not much to separate the second to fourth week.
http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/quincy-ca/95971/june-weather/331996

As far as snow. You can see two July, two June and three May openings for Lassen since 2010. Last year opened on June 10. https://www.nps.gov/lavo/planyourvisit/winter-road-closures-and-spring-clearing-update.htm

So how about June 9, 10 and 11 for the 2017 WCRM . ?  Headscratch

That would work for me. As long as there is NO RAIN!

As to the Gold Pan, it does not fair too well on Yelp. A fair number of reviews that all complain about how dirty the place was.

The Quincy Courtyard Suites (129.00 to 169.00 a night), Pine Hill and Ranchito all seem to have a much better set of reviews. Pine hill starts at 70.00 a night, but there were a few very unfavourable reviews. Ranchito is 69.00 a night, and nothing really bad about it written up at yelp at all.

Trip Advisor pretty much agrees with Yelp - Gold Pan looks pretty weak. Spanish Creek is also in that neighborhood and sounds ok.

So, do we have a consensus? Jim suggested June 9 to 11. We all seem to agree Quincy is the place. Now, to select a hotel. Cast yer ballots.

Pine Hill and Spanish Creek motels - which have pretty ok reviews- are in the West part of town fairly near Pangaea , there some other pretty well rated ones on the East side which is a bit of a walk. Google lists a couple of rv spots in town as having camping. West end is the more interesting part of town.

No I don't. Not sure where it was that we stopped but it was in the area. I will go through my receipts and try to find out where exactly it was. We have a lot of time so a good spot will get found! It doesn't look like my two buddies that I am riding with a week earlier will make this WCRM run with me. So I will be open to splitting the tent spot cost with you or more.
