http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2016/12/kawasaki-versys-x-300-available-spring-2017-beginning-at-5399/

I think this bike could easily be a bike to take to work, a bike to take to the twisty's and also a bike to take someone for their first motorcycle ride!

I like the seat (back seat)

A little bit of a meals on wheels look to it but not horrible.

Good Utility machine

The Versys-X 300 features a 19-inch front aluminum rim and a 17-inch rear aluminum rim, both with steel spokes

Now that is interesting. I'm a HUGE fan of the 19" (vs 17") for riding unpaved roads.

Have they added the 19" front wheel to any of the larger models?

It appears the bigger models still use the 17" front. Sigh. Someday, someone will build a twin cylinder mid-size adventure bike with 17/19 wheels, decent suspension, and reasonably low weight. I guess my hopes are on KTM and Yamaha now.

I believe that Vstrom 250 has that configuration but it remains to be seen if they bring it to the US.............

I'm attracted to these light small displacement bikes as a way to extend my motorcycling and keep miles down on my ZRX........
These things are small enought to chuck on a trailer hitch mount rack and take on vacation to blast some back roads, or, escape some lousy congestion in the car and roll off the back and ride for the day.......
