I noticed on tirumphrat.net there is an annual meet of Triumph geeks in Nelson, BC. This year's events are July 13 to 115 http://www.kootenayratraid.com/

Has anyone been to this event before? I was wondering if it were worth the time to attend.

I have attended/organized several RAT Raids in the mid-Atlantic when they were organized by Triumph corporate and I was the local RAT Pack leader. Good events. Some of the RAT Raids continued after Triumph corporate stopped running them and the regional RAT Packs took over. I recall reading that the Kootenay one was a good one.

Thanks. I did read up on it, and even though Triumph no longer organizes it, apparently they still show up with a pretty big tent and some goodies. Might look at attending.

I was in the bar once when it was in town. Usually stay at the now "Adventure hotel".

I was having way more fun than they seemed to be having. They were huddled around talking about motorcycles, I was sharing cervezas with Hippy chicks.

It appears to be dwindling down over the years, but would be worth attending. Nelson is always fun.

Those were the other guys at the hotel when we were there drinking scotch in the parking lot... Cool
Apparently they only ride 40kmh over, so you may be a little bored on our favourite roads  Bigsmile

Warning noted, Dean. Thanks!

Only 40 km/h? Yeah, I might get a little bored and frustrated at that pace

I have a room booked that weekend now, and can cancel without fees up to two weeks before. Sooo, if those guys are slow, whose up for amid July romp in the Kootenays?
