I put a set of Shinkos on my Bandit 1250 after the original Dunlops wore out. Work great.

Still liking the the Shinko. Well past 5500km. Looks like new. I did have the bike step out a titch at 140kmh in the rain, banked over in a corner...may have been sand, may have been a bit too much torque for the edge of the tire in the rain. Good in the rain, but not quite PR4 levels of confidence. No funny wear from speed. Lol

Shinko rear is done at around 10,000 km. I see cord...lol. Its a decent tire, but I never felt that Michelin level of confidence on it...which is no surprise, as it is a budget tire.  I would try one again, but not on the Norge. I am a worst case scenario, with a heavy right hand, a torquey bike, and more high speed running than most...back to Pilot Roads.

I ran a set of Conti Motions on the Triumph. Within Tire breakin, developed a shimmy in the handlebars on deceleration. Check bearings and torques, still there. Tried different air pressures with some improvements by increasing pressure to 42 lbs. made a decision to swap the front for a Pilot Road 2 and voila! No shimmy anywhere. That Conti does not work on the 1050 Sprint front. Rear is fine and put 11K on it this summer. So happy with that

I found the  Conti wore to a sharp triangular shape that fell into corners and generally felt unstable. The Shinko front solved that. It's barely showing any wear at 10k. I like it for the front.
Pulling out the Buell X1 for the rest of the season...will put a Michelin on the Norge in February.

Strange isn't it? Some have great performance/luck with Brand A and others hate it. Then, others sing the praises of Brand B that others wouldn't try on a bet!?
